PEARLESCENT PIGMENT(Mica powder)
It is also known as pearl pigment or mica powder. They impart luster and depth when incorporated into plastics or applied as surface coatings by reflecting and refracting light. The main types are natural mica pearl pigment, synthetic mica pearl pigment, and glass-based mica pearl pigment.
They are produced by covering the mica with titanium oxide, or ferric oxide or other metallic oxide. The range of mica is from 2µm to 700µm, and the depth is 0.5µm.
