Product Description
Chlorinated rubber is a kind of chlorinated polymer made from natural rubber and chlorine gas.
Industrial products are white or light yellow powder, non-toxic and tasteless, chlorine content of 63-65% ,
average molecular weight of 5000-10000, soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, ethers, esters, petroleum solvents and ketones (excluding acetone) , can be mixed with alkyd resins, epoxy, Phenol formaldehyde resin, polyurethane and other synthetic resins, insoluble in aliphatic alcohols and water. Due to the high chlorine content in the C-C backbone of chlorinated rubber and its ring-like structure, it has many excellent application properties:
1. The molecular chain is saturated and does not contain double bond and other active groups, so it has stable chemical properties and excellent corrosion resistance. It can withstand the corrosion of acid, alkali, salt, chlorine, H2S, SO2 and other corrosive chemicals
2. Cl-group has anti-mildew and flame-retardant properties, so the product has anti-mildew and flame-retardant properties;
3. C-Cl bond has strong polarity, so it has good adhesion on many kinds of materials such as steel, aluminum alloy, cement and wood
4. It has C-C main chain and belongs to rubber modified product, so it has good compatibility with natural rubber, neoprene rubber, nitrile rubber rubber, etc.
5. It has a ring structure, so the adhesive property, flame retardancy, oil resistance and elastic modulus of the product can be improved
6.Micro-decomposition above 125 °C, no softening and burning above 200 °C, good heat resistance.

Applications:
iSuo Chem's Chlorinated Rubber has a good resistance to chemicals and atmosphere and good compatibility with many resins and plasticizers. It suitable for many industrial fields, such as anti-corrosion paint, ship paint, road marking paint, fireproof paint, metal, paper or fabric coatings
Properties:
Good weather resistance, high chemical stability, saltwater resistance and good ultraviolet resistance.
Excellent adhesion to steel and concrete.
Solubility:
Soluble in organic solvents (like toluene and xylene) and forming a colorless or yellow
transparent solution. Insoluble in ethanol fat hydrocarbons solvents.
Stability and Compatibility:
Stable in an atmosphere at room temperature and slowly degrading under continuous
heating.
Compatible with the majority of plasticizers, the most used plasticizer is Chlorinated paraffin.
