iSuoChem® HCPE High Chlorinated Polyethylene is a highly chlorinated polymer with a Cl content of 65% min. It is a transparent, hard and brittle thermoplastic resin.
iSuoChem® HCPE High Chlorinated Polyethylene has high chemical stability, excellent salt resistance and UV resistance. HCPE resin is readily soluble in organic solvents such as toluen-e, xylene and ester solvents, forming a colorless or light yellow transparent solution. When this solution is used in the surface of metal, concrete, paper, etc., the solvent evaporates easily at room temperature, forming a transparent, hard, glossy glassy film. The film resists penetration of moisture and oxygen and is highly resistant to various chemicals such as acids and alkalis. It protects the substrate from corrosion and can also be used as a decorative topcoat.
The newly invented hydrochlorate acid phase technology enables the iSuoChem HCPE CPE series products to be manufactured without the use of organic solvents such as carbon tetrachlorid, which will not damage the ozone layer or the health of users.
iSuoChem HCPE RESIN is a multifunctional high-performance resin that is not only a key ingredient in gravure inks, but also an excellent binder for heavy-duty anticorrosive coatings, which are widely used in waterproof coatings and adhesives. Its particularly outstanding high anti-corrosion properties make it the material of choice for industries such as ship, dock and container coatings. In addition, iSuoChem HCPE RESIN has demonstrated strong applicability in a wide range of fields, including chemical plants, oil field pipelines, offshore installations, metallurgy, mining, salt industry, fisheries, waste treatment, transport facilities and electrical equipment.
In particular, a high molecular weight version of iSuoChem HCPE RESIN has been developed for the various bonding needs of PVC pipes, fittings, and sheets, ensuring excellent bonding results and stability.

Remark: The viscosity is determined using a rotary viscometer in a xylene solution at 25°C. The concentration used is 40%, except for CPE1920 where a 20% solution was prepared.
